The smell of wood and instruments never smelt so good to Gareth, every tell the smell came past he just wanted to play his guitar or piano. Entering the music room with no one in had made Gareth smile a little, a few pianos and one grand piano, couple of acoustic guitars and electric guitars. Gareth walked to the grand piano touching the keys gently feeling the silk coated wood on his fingers, he sat down slowly looking at the keys as he did. so many music came running through his head, some new, some old but the latest one was Death cab for cutie's song Brothers On A Hotel Bed. The piano piece one of the band members stood out from the singer, bass and drummer. He played the first cord a 'C' then started to play, adding more and more getting into the rhythm of it, feeling the keys bounce back to his fingers as he presses down, the music moving in and out of his body like a dancing soul. Nothing more thrilled him than playing the piano, but when he played something was missing, a piece of his heart was missing and no blood from a human nor any beautiful piece could fill that space. It was something more than that.

Alice was walking around. She had a break in between her classes and was basically killing time. She was humming quietly to herself as she passed the many classrooms. Alice was listening to the many conversations of people that she passed, none of them were very good. They were talking about pointless things. If you had lived as long as Alice had, you pick what was important to you. The only thing that she could relate to was her love of shopping.
Alice passed the music room but stopped abruptly afterwards. Something had caught her ears: The piano. Alice loved the sound of the piano. Somebody was always playing the piano at home, but she loved the way Edward played it, but she couldnt smell Edward so she knew it wasnt him. Being the nosy, stubborn vampire that she was Alice peeped her head into the music room. She had heard the song before faintly but it was like a memory. The room was empty except for a guy playing the piano. Alice walked in and sat down, litening to the music that he played. It sounded so good to her.
